I am a junior, and electrical engineer in college who I waited until now to take all of his digital design classes, and this book and a couple Wikipedia pages brought me up to speed very quickly. It is very succinct and concise with its explanations, yet it goes into every bit as much detail as necessary to solidify a concept. One of my favorite things about this book is how it refers to something it already talked about to make new information more accessible. For instance when looking at 'AND' and 'NAND' gates it refers to the fact that the latter is the inverse of the first.Excellent book, I would most definitely recommend it to a friend or peer in college.
This manual is clear and nice. Some of the projects are fun.
