I just purchased a '83 300D as a project car, and ordered both the Chiltons manual and the Haynes. This one arrived first, and I tried to look up information on the power window wiring. Shockingly, every schematic, every diagram was written like power windows don't exist. There wasn'twasn't even a single reference to power windows in the index. Luckily, the Haynes manual arrived a week later, and it had abundant information on the window systems.I haven't found anything in this Chilton's manual that wasn't better in the Haynes. (I'm no fan boy. I've ordered both manuals for most cars I have owned. It alternates per vehicle which one turns out to be better.) For the W123, save your money and just buy the Haynes. This one is low point in the Chiltons line.

After reviewing the information in this manual it wont be so intimidating to begin trying to diagnose some of the problems BEFORE taking the car in for repairs. It`s a great find!!

I bought the manual thinking it will assit me with my repairs on my Mercedes Diesels but I find the manual very general. Try to find out something about the Vacuum door lock system....Nothing or what the kick down Transmission solenoid does or located etc. NG.Not pleased with this product at all, there is probably another manual that is more specific and helpful.

A substantial amount of valuable information. Not as specific as a full shop manual, but then considerately lower in cost also. Wiring diagram of my SL very helpful in trouble-shooting.

This is a general overview of the car and components. If you are looking for a manual to help with repairs, there are a lot of better ones out there. Forums on the internet were more helpful than this book. It provides basic info.

I wasn't sure what to expect with that warning in the blurb.Glad I decided to pick it up and give it a read.It reads in a familiar way to Daniel Black's works. If you liked Fimbulwinter, you'll like this one.Guaranteed.

A good interesting read. Some good fight action, a bit of politics thrown in, and then what seems to be becoming the standard for heroes, is the obligatory harem of 'monster' girls.I enjoyed the story, though I can find some similarities between this and Aleron Kings series, The Land, but all in all a good enjoyable read.I would be interested to find out if there is going to be a sequel to this book.

Fabulous world building combined with action and hot eroticism!!! Vince is normal from the outside but he has hidden powers. I loved how he kept collecting more and mutant women for his harem without actually having set out to do so. The wives just take over and "what's a guy to do?" This was truly enjoyable science fiction!! Can't wait for the next one!!! Oh and btw the sex is an integral part of the storyline and not unnecessary as some have complained to the author!! I would advise they not read this sort of book instead of complaining!!! Please keep the kinky sex coming!!!

Ever dove into a book not expecting much but, somewhere along... a quarter into the book you realize, "Dam, this book here is pretty Bad Ass!" ? Well, this book was like that for me. Though at times it can get extremely explicit, overall I still thought this book was a pretty good read. A different twist to most other post post apocalyptic books I've read. However, I will warn anyone who is considering reading this book, that (in my opinion) this book is written mainly for male audience. I mean, with the whole harem theme and all.

I found this book by chance and thought it looked interesting, I wasn't disappointed. The plot is very interesting, just what I expect from a post apocalypse book with a harem thrown into the storyline. I enjoyed the naughty bits of the storyline, loved that the author used atypical non-humans for these parts and in the book in general. Hope that there will more in this series to come soon

How great is this writer? Well, I just read about a man having sex with an ant-centaur and I liked it. Mind you, I'm choosing to imagine Petra looking like the mosquito girl from "One-Punch Man." I read all three books and thoroughly (guilty pleasure) enjoyed it.I have to reduce the star, because while the grammar/punctuation errors are minimal it does distract me. Pulling me out of the fantasy. That could just be me. I also think Vince gets a little wordy in the second book. Going so far as to over explain things. For example, in the beginning of the third book he leaves abruptly while explaining he doesn't care. You know who explains? People who care. A "Deuces" and leaving would have sufficed. Explaining it to his harem afterwards would have been more apropos, because he does care about his girls. I could give other examples, but without giving away too many spoilers. I'm just nitpicking, though.Now for personal reasons. I believe this book would have been better if Randi continued Vince's world travels, almost like "The Witcher" and have him transition from lone apex-predator to opening-up as he encountered more girls, but still maintaining his grisly attitude to those outside his personal circle (while the world imploded around him). The whole city-builder thing felt convenient and forced at the same time. That's just me, though.Overall, great book!

This book was engaging from the get go. A lot of the self published list takes a while to really hook my interest, mostly because of sentence structure and wording. This one is well constructed, with enjoyable characters and well laid out action, interaction and "interaction". Always good to see an author pay as much attention to the sensual side of "adult themes" as the blood and guts. Makes for a fuller, better story.I did feel like the pacing sped up a little much in the last third of the book, and the motivations for adventuring in general are a little questionable. But overall, great story, and looking forward to future installments.

Wild Wastes was a surprisingly enjoyable read and fully deserving of all the 5-star reviews that the book has received. The author did a fantastic job in fleshing out an apocalyptic world and creating a strong MC through which the readership can explore this new world.The only problem for me is that I felt the writer went slightly overboard in trying to build a perfect harem for the MC and that became the character's primary focus rather than dealing with the overarching conspiracy that the MC found himself in the middle of. I think the author should have spent more time fleshing out the conspiracy but otherwise, Wild Wastes was almost perfect as a novel.

This book was a little different than I expected but it was definitely interesting. Good plot twist at the end!

I’m so disappointed in this book! This author has so many other books I will recommend in a heart beat however this book was stupid and a waste of time!!! The whole time I was reading I didnt enjoy it but I just knew the ending would be amazing however I didn’t like the ending either! If this is your first book by the author and you don’t enjoy don’t stop reading her work she has some AMAZING books some of my favorites so give a different book a try don’t let this one stop you from reading her work.

Inspired after a meeting and visit with Bradbury’s heroes Actor, Dance, and Director extraordinaire Gene Kelly, Bradbury reworked a short story that had been tucked away The Black Ferris and revived it in novel form in 1962 and later made into a film; noted in the afterword at the end of the book, originally Kelly was asked if he could direct a film adaptation but plans fell through until 15 years later when a script would be written and the eventual film produced by Jack Clayton of Kelly’s “Invitation to Dance” would be made by Disney in 1983.Readers familiar with any Bradbury story, there are always twists and turns within each page from short stories to novels as well as lessons to be learned in the aftermath. Magic This is the umpteenth time that I have read ‘Something Wicked this way Comes’. I love almost all of Bradbury’s books but this by far is my favorite. This was the first time that I have read it on one of my devices which did not take away from the story one spit. The first time I read this book I was 13 years old and it bowled me over. I have probably read again about every five years since then and each time it is a new and awesome experience. I had never ever read anything like it before when I was 13 years old. The only other book that I have read about youth that is near its equal is McCammon’s ‘Boy’s Life” and his prose doesn’t even come close to Bradbury though his story is a fun and deliciously well written story. But it is Bradbury’s prose that sets his book higher than any other. I know this is not every body’s cup of tea , his style of prose but for me it was a like a ride on a roller coaster the first time I read it. His prose was new, exciting and so startlingly different it took my breath away. He made me giddy with the power of words. I titled this review ‘Magic’. Because in my mind this is a book of Magic. In ancient times Words was associated with Magic. Words had power to create and to destroy. In some ways I believe that this is still true because Bradbury understood the power of words like no other Author I have ever read. He brought Magic to life in Something Wicked that literally vibrated with essence and depth. He made Magic Real. I am a professional oral storyteller and I have been telling stories to audiences for over 15 years. As an oral storyteller I paint on a different kind of canvas than the writer does and I am forced to use a distinctive flavor of descriptive language to draw my audience into my world. What I like most about this book is that it’s in plain English, not “legalese” and the example scenarios of some concepts. What I wish it had more of is a few more specifics and examples on searches and seizures and sentencing. Or a section in the back to look through statutes for every state. Overall, it’s very thorough and interesting. Ive recommended it to a friend who is navigating the legal system.

It is important that everyone should understand their rights especially when speaking to the police. You should be aware of your most important right, the right to remain silent. Remember silence is golden because if you don't say it the police can not use it against you. Answer only what your required to answer such as name, DOB, address and drivers license information. Other than the weather do not say or offer any other information. If you are being asked for additional information stop and ask if you are the subject of an investigation. If the answer is yes, immediately invoke your 5th amendment right to remain silent and tell them you won't speak to them without an attorney representing you is present. If you are asked to come in to answer some question and you are not the victim, do not do so without having an attorney with you. Spending a couple of hundred dollars now may save you thousands later, don't be pound wise and penny foolish. If you are arrested say nothing without an attorney. It is reasonable to believe they have already have established probable cause to make the arrest so don't add fuel to the fire by providing any more information other than what is required. Trying to talk your way out only tends to dig the hole deeper as what you say will more than likely be documented. Again, SAY NOTHING and invoke your rights. This book is also very good of explaining the prosecution process as a whole from arraignment, bail, trial, plea bargaining and sentencing. Anyone who has a family member in the criminal justice system pipeline will have a better understanding about the in's and out's of the criminal justice Process and what may happen Just remember to say absolutely nothing and invoke you right to remain silent when in doubt.

pretty good for probably everyone to read in the guilty until proven innocent culture we have in many places today

This book does a great job in explaining the different aspects of the courtroom and there are several definitions that may be easily understood by the average reader. On top of this, there are several examples to explain each topic that is being covered. I gave this book four stars, mainly because it is a book that references things that go on in the courtroom but not how to present it in any fashion. In example, you may know what the Hearsay rule is, but how do you introduce it during your court procedure? This book wouldn't go that far in depth. At least in my opinion. Bottom line: great book if you don't know anything about the court system.

Nolo puts out terrific books, that's all there is to it. This one is no exception. You'll feel as qualified as Perry Mason (Am I dating myself?) after reading it. OK, maybe not that good, but I doubt if any better book exists that covers all the bases in a general, yet thorough, manner as this one does. Feel confident in pleading "not guilty."

This is an excellent introduction to Criminal Law in the USA. It’s a good preparation for in depth law school books.

Very good. Using this book and a few other NOLO books I researched my criminal case, acted as my own lawyer, AND WON MY CASE here in Colorado. Knowing that I was not guilty and using these good NOLO resources really helped. I'm not saying that YOU will have the same results, but using these materials and a little common sense REALLY helped me.

I liked Vikirnoff from his appearances in Dark Destiny and Dark Secret, and in this book, he doesn't disappoint. Even though Destiny repeatedly calls him a caveman and he readily admits to knowing nothing about women, he displays a very open and understanding mind when it comes to his lifemate, Natalya, even going so far as to develop a sense of humor.I loved Natalya's snarky, sarcastic quips, her horror movie references, and how she drives Vik crazy since he was expecting June Cleaver and ended up with Xena, the Warrior Princess. Being an ancient Carpathian/Mage/Dragonseeker, I thought I would be spared the "suffering" of having to read through the conversion of a human woman so prevalent in this series, but it seems there is no escaping that event in this series and it's reused continually....as if we need the reminder in EVERY book that it is (supposedly) like a "blowtorch" and that childbirth will be a piece of cake afterwards and the big, strong, warrior-hunter becomes a wuss during the process. Bleh!Natalya is a strong heroine who has mastered her own gifts and abilities so I didn't have to deal with the Feehan redundancy of the newbie who has to learn everything. What she doesn't know (like how to make the vampy guys stay dead) she's very creative in improvising.Cameo appearances by Prince Mikhail and Raven, Falcon and Sara, and Joie's siblings Jubal and Gabrielle, along with more plot development of the Dragonseeker backstory (Who was responsible for the Dragon lightning in the sky that Vik and Natalya witness???) is enough incentive to read this book.IF you can stomach the cheesy "feminine channel" descriptive writing, overlook ALL of the typos, AND the inconsistencies of 1) the physical description of Natalya is drastically different than what Nicolae describes for Vikirnoff in Dark Destiny, 2) the fact that Vikirnoff apparently suffers from short-term memory loss and has forgotten that in the book Dark Secret, Rafael imparts the information that Colby Jansen bears the Dragonseeker birthmark, yet tells Natalya in THIS book that he only knows of only TWO remaining (she and Dominic) from the Dragonseeker lineage, and 3) that this book takes place in the same time frame as several of the older books (Dark Dream, Dark Descent, Dark Magic, Dark Fire, Dark Melody) where Gregori is notably absent in his duty as protector/second to the Prince and, therefore, it can be somewhat confusing, then this is a pretty good read.

This book was enchanting, enthralling and endlessly entertaining where stubbornness and determination to rise above conflict with a core of steel to get to where love and happiness lives! Will the Dragonseeker conquer the Carpathian or will it be the opposite? Memories and ideas are in conflict within Natalya who only wants to be left alone but then Vikirnoff comes along with solutions to her memories.There are fight scenes and love scenes galore but all is needed to make the story come alive and shine. I recommend this book 📖.

It has everything: romance, action, magik, history, humor, friendship, two peacefully co-existing plots, and, of course, a little sex (don't like the scenes? Skip 'em!).The story of the main two lifemates is told in vivid detail, thankfully not relegated to subplot status. The time Feehan takes in developing the relationship between Natalya and Vikirnoff only adds to each battle sequence. Couple that with the co-plot of the vampires and wizards vs. Carpathians, and the truth about the increasing struggle for survival of both sides is finally brought into fascinating focus.I thought it would be annoying to revisit all the characters mentioned in previous books, but it only added to the interest for me. Knowing what became of them all, knowing that they had survived and made lives for themselves. It was gratifying.Don't worry about the addendum's at the back...some people like them, some people don't. I didn't both with them, and I don't feel like I lost anything.This isn't meant to be a deep, philosophical book. But it's cohesive, well-written, doesn't insult your intelligence and leaves you wanting more. You could not ask for a better installment, and the questions answered in this book make it a fulfilling read to faithful followers of the Dark Series. So just read it, already!

I know there are those readers who will disagree with me but this is my favorite Carpathian novel yet! Natalya is my mind of heroine. She is a spitfire yet vulnerable. A perfect match for " Vic" a rather stoic hunter sent to find and protect her from those who would harm her. His !lifemate!!

This is one of my favorites in the Dark Series. First, it's a big, fat book and you definitely get your money's worth. Second, I LOVE the characters. This was the 2nd book of the Dark Series that I read (the first was Dark Destiny - which I also loved), and I went on to read the entire Series. Some of the books are better than others, but on the whole, I love the strong female characters, arrogant "I'll teach you to submit" males who ultimately end up putty in their womans' hands, and that there is a common thread running throughout the entire series..which is why it's a series ;-) I think the graphic parts could be minimized, just because after awhile it seems like the same old, same old, but hey I know how to skip to the next page, so no biggie. Wouldn't recommend to my mama, but my sisters would love this series!

I enjoy how the author connects one book to the next. Introducing each character then filling in details that brings a sense of reality as the separate characters merge and interact.

If you like supernatural books, then Christine Feehan is the author for you! the "Dark" series is a great read...(she has more coming out in 2014 in this series) This story will draw you in....Carpathian Hunters.........hunting the undead....and in the centuries of hunting. The Carpathian Hunter, loosing their emotions & ability to see colors, must find their lifemate or loose their soul to the darkness.....THeir lifemate keeps them from going into the darkness, & returns the abilty to see and to feel emotions.....

I first read the foxfire books in the 1970's and they are a treasure! I would suggest that you get the actual book on this and not the digital version. The pictures are impossible to see, there is no way to identify the plants from the very small photos. The content of the book is good and well worth reading.

This is a concise collection of folks medicines in earlier times in the Southeaster mountains. A description is given of each medicine to enable one to recognize it in its natural form as well as giving the applications for each natural medicine. Any one intersted in folk ways in the Southeastern mountains should read this book. It also gives much insight into the every day lives of these pioneering people.I myself remember when I was growning up that mountain people dug "seng" as well as other natural herbs for sale to the Chinese. Market prices for ginseng were published in the papers. Many a mountain farm family was able to bet by on digging herbs and selling them. Extensive beds of these herbs have been destroyed by over harvesting.

Not great as references go but interesting history and some cures that are entertaining even if they are a bit iffy. The internet can round out information about the individual herbs and the list is a decent place to start.

Wish i had the paper back. It a heck of a book will be buying the other 11 books
