This book is quite simply awesome! It takes you by example through a personal journey with God in prayer through what is called "the secret place." I have been profoundly affected by this writing and my faith in God has increased exponentially.. I would encourage anyone who is seeking a close or closer relationship with God to purchase this book and read a chapter daily like a devotional. It will change your life for sure. It is impossible not to be affected by this author IMHO. it's very easy to read and understand. Take note: commit yourself to reading through the entire book before starting to get the best results.

For years I longed for intimacy with God, and searched for materials to enable me to accomplish this with little help, until I came across this book. I was so glad, I read portions until I finished the whole book. I immediately put the instructions into practice and Oh! what blessings I have received. It has enabled me to touch the heart of Good, received God's supernatural touch, I cannot praise this book enough. I highly recommend it. I actually purchased it after reading reviews from previous readers, and they were so right. I believe every believer who wants intimacy with the Father needs this book. I have been so changed spiritually by reading this book. Daily now I get into the secret place eagerly.

I have a special connection with this book. I was teaching on the "secret place" in the 91st Psalm during a chapel service and afterwards went to the office of the ministry where I was teaching and began speaking to someone sitting at the front desk about what we covered. He became very enthusiastic about discussing the secret place as he was reading this book along with a number of others in the ministry. This is a wonderful book on a wonderful subject. I like that it is written in what I would call bite size chapters that I can quickly read and reflect upon. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to deepen their walk with the Lord through prayer and meditation.

Loved this book. I've used it as a devotional to propel me into the secret place with God. Bob has such profound and also practical wisdom. You know how when you read something and occasionally something jumps off the page at you. Well the majority of this book is like that. The wisdom and truth in this book is fuel for the fire! When you combine this book with prayer and meditation in the secret place it is a catalyst and will change your life.

This book lives up to it's title and then some: Keys to Igniting Your Personal Time With God. After reading his book "Power of the Blood" I immediately ordered three more of Bob Sorge's books. With many books on prayer on my bookshelf - with the likes of Andrew Murray, E.M. Bounds, and Tozer - I have to say this one is at the top of my list. This author speaks my language! It's full of precious insights and revelations and I'm reading it slowly so I can enjoy every delicious bit. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to pray - or anyone who wants to draw nearer to the Lord. This is a gem!

This book may be the best book I have ever read in my entire life outside of God's word. (It is packed with God's word, by the way!)It draws you in from the moment you begin to read it and captivates you to the last line. Bob is such a prime example of so many Godly attributes. He is HUMBLE, experienced in what he talks about, he is a teacher, you can tell he is a committed husband, dad and grandpa, he is funny and serious all in the same moment and leaves you satisfied and longing in the same moment too!If you long for more time with Jesus, this is the manual of helps for you! I have ordered nearly 50 of these for family and friends. Just finished the 12 week small group with the study guide and leaders manual. Words can not express how thankful I am for men like Bob in the body of Christ. Thank you for all you have gone through to bring us this!

Their are only a couple of books on Exadata and this one is certainly the best one. Their are approximately 3000 Exadata installations per Oracle Support Mgmt. When I was researching which Exadata book to buy I only found 3 or 4 other books. I read excerpts from the other Exadata books and they do not go into the level of detail that Expert Oracle Exadata goes into. The authors are well known in the industry and the book is well written. The only issue I have is that I am working on Exadata X3 and this book was written for the X2. Obviously this does not reflect on the quality of the book and most of it does apply to the X2.It would have been nice to have a chapter on ZFS and using ZFS to backup Exadata. Many Exadata implementations use ZFS because it is the only back solution (currently) that will plug into the Infiniband network on Exadata. It is the fastest way to backup Exadata at several Terabytes per hour.Most of the chapter on parallel execution can be applied to non-Exadata and it does a great job of explaining new features in 11g.The most important chapter is Chapter 2. After reading this chapter you will know how to determine if Smart Scans (aka offloading) are working for your SQL. The book will give you a few ideas on how to modify your environment to enable Smart Scans and see if they help or not.Chapter 10 covers wait events and it also a very important chapter. The wait events that are specific to Exadata are documented here with examples and comparisons to non-Exadata DBs. The examples include SQL traces that help you determine if Smart scans are working or not.

I've been a DBA for 30 years and dealing with Oracle for about 19. I like to read a lot and love to know more and more of Oracle even if the subject is not part of my daily life, as Exadata. This book does grasp the attention. It is deep (the way I like) and we can see the author does know what he talks about. The level of details is very adequate and precise. I could understand Exadata very well and feel prepared to work with it one day.

Written in a surprisingly readable style, this one took me off the fence regarding Exadata. Here you will find thorough research well-presented. If you are at all interested in this technology and would like to know more, and get it in a non-whitepaper, non-hyped way, this book won't disappoint. My congrats to the author on a great job.

Given that when Exadata came out this guy (and a few others) simply decided they would get an Exadata and take it apart, I would think they could write a good book. The book lives up to the authors reputation. A must have for anyone using an Exadata at any level.

I had attended Kerry Osborne's presentations at Hotsos and had a few conversations with him about Exadata but I didn't realize he was writing a book with Tanel Poder and Randy Johnson. I am moving to a new assignment implementing ERP systems on Exadata and I am very appreciative that this book was available at the right time for me. It answered all my basic questions about the technology and it offers practical guidance on getting the best performance from this complex system.

The print in the book is soo small that I cannot even read the book I am extremely frustrated with this publication for that reason. I cannot even comment on the actual material because I cannot read the small print.

This book is really good if you have started working with Exadata. It covers all the major areas with good amount of details and examples for beginners.

I've been printing as long as printers have been decent; back to the Epson 785. The 785 was followed by a series of Canon's top of the line Pro printers which took printing to a new level for me. I still use Canon printers and an Epson 3880. The point being, I print a lot and I know how to get a good print. Stress often rears it's head sometimes while trying to match my prints to the monitor. Color Monkey, Spyder, One Eye... Rob Shepard took some of the stress out of printing for me with one simple thought. An awesome print doesn't always have to match the monitor. Really.

This book had little useful information. The first four or so chapters tell you to start with a good digital image. Well no kidding. There is limited info on managing color profiles, how to set up printing, how to decide between printer managing color or managing from photo editing software, etc. from a logical step by step approach. Good for the beginner but not if you want to set up a true light room and get exhibition quality prints.

As I have said in earlier reviews, I like to consume knowledge about photography and now printing. Have an Epson P600 printer and just begun the refining my printing and its more involved than expected. This book by Epson has helped me through the process, not out of the woods yet. A great reference tool for the desk.

Got this with my first Large Epson Photo printer, it helped since I was still transitioning to Digital from the smelly Darkroom!!

If you create fine arts photographic prints using an Epson, then this book is somewhat informative. Unfortunately it's already dated at 4-years old and that means much of the information is no longer relevant.

I agree with several of the other reviewers - this book is well done but the title is misleading. In my opinion a >complete< guide to Epson should take you through the >complete< process of color digital printing on Epson printers and be littered with actual examples, good and bad, of all the resolution, ink type, paper type, printer model and color management option combinations that produce a digital color print. My copy is going back.

Weak on hard facts about printers inks and papers. Now out of date.

The content of the book is not indicated in the proposal cover. Weak, very weak for those who need guidance and is starting in the business of digital printing.If it were possible to return the book.

I didn't bother trying to read it because it's not formatted for kindle. The page took up 1/4 of the screen and was not crisp. Should not be advertised as a kindlebook. I think it would be more useful as a pdf which could then be resized.The review sounded interesting and I would love to read it. It's just too small for my taste.Update: the book is out of copyright and available free through the google book project as a pdf.

Text is too small to read and can't be enlarged. Totally worthless. Shouldn't be allowed to be sold. Rip off.
