The King of Her Heart is a sweet, fun and heart warming romance. You can enjoy it on its own but if you have read the first two books, you will have the back story on Paisley's best friends Nicole and Lauren. The characters are extremely well portrayed. There is a lot more to the plot than just the royal falls for a waitress trope. I thoroughly enjoyed this book (and am now way behind on my chores since I refused to stop reading).
Paisley Goldberg’s two best friends married famous men, and Paisley vows never to enter such a fishbowl. The man she likes most in her life is actually a kind but mysterious man she met on a movie review site online. Alex finally reluctantly agrees to meet her in person for a movie premier, and he turns out to be the prince of a small country, but he’s also everything she’s always wanted, except for being famous.Prince Alessandro is drawn to Paisley, but he dreads her finding out who he really is. She told him she never wants to date a celebrity, and he doesn’t want to lose her friendship. When he does meet her, she agrees to see him as just a friend, and she’s his ideal woman. However, his position as prince keeps trying to pull them apart, and he fears for the future.Even though this story is reminiscent of several movies I’ve seen, I still enjoyed it. Both Alex and Paisley are lovable, and the story had enough fresh problems to keep me reading. I found few mistakes in the book, and it was a fast, sweet read. I gave it 4.5 stars, which rounded up to a five.
Paisley serving people all day, and review movies at night, posting them regularly now. Alex and Paisley have been chatting daily for six months, he almost asked her for a date. She was witty, good conversation, but against anyone with fame. He had to be satisfied with chatting, though he wondered what she looked liked. With a gesture from his father to change a rule, would that change things for him and maybe love. A cute story with a different ending of what one thought. Nice and enjoyable to read.
Don't look for intrigue and suspense. Just get to know these new friends and enjoy the read. You'll be glad you did.
This was a sweet romantic book to read. I read it in two days. I appreciated a love story without detailed sex and bad language.
Loved this third installment in the Loving a Star Series!After going through Lauren and Nicole's stories I was eager to read Paisley's story! And I loved it!Paisley has sworn she will never marry a famous man. She knows what life married to fame can be by watching her two best friends marry famous guys. The media and papparazzi attacks, the lack of privacy, sounds like too much sacrifice. She would rather continue her ordinary waitress life than losing her freedom!Alex -or Prince Alessandro of Belmonte- is happily living in NYC running his company Brighter World Fund and wishes he coulnd evade forever his royalty duties as the heir of the throne. He and Paisley meet online on MovieGeeks and instantly become friends. But when Paisley mentions she would never marry a famous guy, Alex is reluctant to meet her face to face...But when this meeting happens, they both discover that there might be so much more to their relationship than just friends. But will Paisley be strong enough to go against her number one dating rule? Will Alex be able to overcome his family's opposition to marrying someone below his station? You'll have to read it to find out...It was a delightful and heartwarming read! The characters felt real, relatable and endearing to me. I fell in love with them! And I love how their relationship develops, their banter, the sweet moments. The drama was engaging too. I was hoping to see how this story would unfold and resolve in the end!I totally recommend it! It's a lighthearted sweet romance that will inspire you!I received a gifted copy of this book and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
Emma Kingsley’s book: The King Of Her HeartPaisley and Alex are two amazing people from different life styles. When Paisley mentions that she would never date a famous person Alex is afraid to meet her face to face. When Alex gets up the courage to meet Paisley she is shocked to see who he is. Watching these two get to know each other will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
Waitress Paisley Goldberg loves chatting with her friend Alex she met on MovieGeeks, but he’s been reluctant to meet to meet in person. Prince Alessandro of Belmonte would rather run his company Brighter World Fund and text with his friend Paisley than take over ruling his country. When Paisley told him she would never date a famous man after seeing what her friends Nicole and Lauren have to put up with dating famous men, he thinks he’ll never have a chance with her. When they finally meet in person and their friendship deepens, they can’t fight the attraction between them. But Paisley thinks she will never be good enough for Alex and Alex has to fight against his parents’ disapproval and family tradition to be with her. I loved catching up with Lauren and Nicole from the last two books. Alex’s sister Bianca, his friends James and Paul, and actor James Flynn were all great and deserve their own stories. This was a clean friends first opposites attract love story with plenty of funny, sweet, and dramatic moments.
